Chute-Boxe's leader Rudimar Fedrigo still regrets the final result of the fight between Pride super champion Wanderlei Silva and Mark Hunt at Pride Shockwave, on last December 31. According to him, Silva controlled the ground and applied several take downs, and it should be counted.
"Lots of athletes came to me to complain about it. Of course it was a balanced fight, but in my point of view Wanderlei was the winner. He showed an excellent Jiu-Jitsu, almost submitted Hunt with a key-lock and ruled the ground game. He also applied over six take downs" evaluated Rudimar.
Silva's decision to take on Mark Hunt two days before the fight is seen by Rudimar as an example to the rest of the crew. "Pride wanted Wanderlei badly on the show and he was such a warrior to accept it. He knew the opponent was 30kg heavier. His attitude must inspired Chute Boxe's athletes and that loss does not spoil his career," he said.
